This September will mark the one year wedding anniversary of Garreth and Nicole; one of the most down-to-earth couples I have had the pleasure of meeting. They got married at The Forest Venue in Walkerville, South Africa.
The ceremony took place in between the trees and rays of sunlight. The decor was unique, and kept my photographer’s eye very busy. I enjoyed the simplicity of the whole day!
“Down-to-earth” is the perfect word for this couple and their day; the atmosphere suited their personalities. The bridal party and the guests were not dressed as formally as one would be used to seeing at a wedding, which added to the simplicity of the day.
The family-orientated moments of a wedding are always so special! Nicole looked so lovely; the choice of a crown of flowers made my day! (Baby’s breath flowers are one of my many favourites). Garreth looked dapper in clothes not as traditionally formal for a wedding – with a spectacular beard grown especially for the day!
Once the ceremony ended, the couple and I took a walk through the forest for photos – this is when I go into “stalker” mode! I lost myself behind my camera as I followed them, every next moment captured as special as the last.
I loved that I got to photograph their wedding – in a forest! The weather was beautiful, and so was the couple. It was a lovely day to celebrate!
